Today on the blog, I’m launching a new series of monthly favorites. January is the perfect time to start! Every month I’m going to share with you all the items I’m enjoying this month - everything from beauty, film, and food. I hope you enjoy today’s January Favorites. I’d love to hear the things that you’ve been enjoying this winter season too!
I bought this cookbook last year after I completed Joe Wicks weight loss and training program and love the cookbook too. Last week I made his recipe for Chicken and Potato Hash (link) as my after workout meal and Chris loved it too!
I love this nail polish and dedicated a whole blog post to it! Essie Gel Couture looks like a gel manicure and the wide brush makes it easy to apply. While it doesn’t last as long, it’s definitely a lot cheaper than going for gel manicure.
I never in a million years would have thought I would purchase a subscription box, but when my favorite blogger, Sazan Hendrix unveiled her box this past year, I decided to purchase it. I couldn’t believe how much was included in the box - I wrote about it a few weeks ago. I decided to commit to getting the box for the next 6 months and can’t wait for January’s box. It’s less than $30 a month and includes over $100 worth of goodies.
Bletchley Circle is a suspenseful post World War II drama with a female ensemble cast. I’m always looking for new shows on Netflix and was excited to find this one. Bletchley Circle follows four women who worked decoding German correspondence during World War II. Susan, now a mother of two, in the years following the war, is convinced she can solve a crime that the police can’t. As a result she calls on her former friends who join her to stop a killer on the loose. WARNING: Some of the crimes depicted are a little graphic, so just keep this in mind if you plan on watching it.
I’ve started to make smoothies a few nights a week so that breakfast is ready to go in the morning. I got this Kate Spade tumbler from amazon a few weeks ago and love how it keeps my smoothie cold all morning!
I first tried this lipstick as a free sample for my birthday from Sephora last year - and after using the sample, made the commitment to buy the full size version. This lipstick does not come off - even after eating a whole meal - it’s a little pricey for a lipstick but I know I’ll have this one for a few years.
Someone told me that they couldn’t believe this bag is from target - but it is! I featured it a few weeks ago on the blog and love how roomy it is. It came with me all the way to Italy this past summer and is the perfect for hauling my laptop, planner, and books for a Saturday of studying at Starbucks.
Hope you enjoyed the first installment of my monthly favorites. Be sure to comment below with some favorites of your own - maybe we have a few in common!
